Seat Allotment Categories
Admissions to UG programmes are processed strictly under the University of Calicut guidelines, categorized as follows:
Merit Seats
Seats filled dynamically through standard university allotment cycles based on CAP index points.
Management Seats
Filled directly by college authorities. However, completing CAP registration remains strictly compulsory.
Institutional Equality Policy
At HM College, the semester fee structure for both Merit and Management categories is entirely identical. Additionally, the college strictly enforces a no donation / no capitation fee policy for Management admissions.
1. Merit Seat Admission
These seats are processed, validated, and allotted directly through the University of Calicut Single Window system (CAP).
Required Originals
- SSLC Certificate
- Plus Two Mark Sheet
- Transfer Certificate (TC)
- Conduct Certificate
- CAP Registration Form / Memo
- Reservation documents (If applicable)
- Passport size photographs
* Prescribed semester fee should be remitted on the allotment confirmation day.
University CAP Registration
Candidates must register through the Calicut University admission engine.
Inside the CAP Portal:

- ✔️ Fill academic & personal credentials
- ✔️ Upload photo (Do NOT upload files)
- ✔️ Pay Calicut University processing fee
Selection of Program & Options
Choose HM College of Science and Technology, Manjeri as your preferred college, then align and select your desired courses in the absolute priority order of preference.
Allotment and Confirmation
Keep a vigilant eye on trial, first, second, and subsequent allotments published by the University. Once allotted to HM College, pay the mandatory University confirmation fee to lock your admission allotment.
College Admission Day
Report directly at the college office on the specified slot. Hand over the required original certificates, pay the standard semester tuition fee, and confirm your academic seat.
2. Management Seat
These seats are filled directly by the college administration, following compulsory registration on the University CAP portal.

* Students must remit the prescribed semester fee at the time of admission.
Mandatory CAP Registration
Even for direct management quota allotment, completing the official Calicut University CAP profile registration is strictly compulsory. Unregistered profiles are invalid.
