General Rules and Guidelines for Students

General Regulations

Academic Discipline

  • Daily and punctual attendance is a personal duty for every student.
  • Students must be in class at the first bell and wait for the teacher.
  • In a teacher's absence, students must remain in the classroom for assigned work or utilize the general library.
  • No student should be seen outside the classroom during active class hours.
  • Permission from the Lecturer is mandatory before leaving a class before dismissal.

Dress Code & Identity

  • Wearing the prescribed College Uniform is mandatory on all days except Wednesday.
  • Identity Cards must be carried at all times within the campus.
  • Wednesday Guidelines:

    Modest dress is required. Strictly avoid T-shirts, flimsy clothes, tights, miniskirts, sleeveless tops, or deep necklines.

Campus Etiquette

  • Visitors are not allowed during class hours. Day students/hostelers cannot meet visitors on campus.
  • Personal mail should be addressed to home; letters sent to the college will not be delivered.
  • No student shall disturb ongoing classes while in the library or during free hours.
  • No meetings shall be held on college premises without prior permission from the Principal.
  • Prior permission is required for any publication in newspapers, magazines, or journals in the college name.

Strict Prohibitions

  • Mobile Phones: Strictly prohibited. A 'Surprise Inspection Squad' operates as per High Court and Govt. instructions.
  • Ragging & Harassment: Teasing or intimidating junior students is a punishable offense under the Police Act.
  • Property Damage: Collective fines will be imposed for violent actions causing damage to college property or apparatus.
  • Equipment: Megaphones, loudspeakers, or posters are not allowed without prior authorization.
